Photo Tuesday: Da Plane, Da Plane!

I don’t remember when I started doing this, but it’s been years.

You know how some restaurants will hand you silverware wrapped in a napkin and sealed by a small strip of paper?  Well, sometime in the last ten or more years, I started carefully peeling that strip of paper off and making it into a tiny little paper airplane:

I tend to leave these in with the sugar packets or the salt and pepper – where ever I think that whoever cleans the table/booth won’t necessarily find it right away.  I don’t know why I do it but it amuses me to think that someone, sometime, might sit at that table, reach for the sugar and find one of my tiny little airplanes.

It’s become habit for me now.  When I sit down at a table, I will peel the paper back and make my little airplane.  I did this in front of my cousins kids and she responded by saying, “Thanks – thanks a lot Patrick!  Now they’re going to be doing it too!”

…honestly, is that such a terrible thing? 😉

I do that too! Started with fliers at university or notes in really, really boring lectures. Now with adverts at group meals in France. My mum gave the patented Maternal Look of Disaproval. Which then morphed into Withering Stare (TM) when my dad decided to see if the plane would fly.

    It flew.

The guy carrying wine the other side of the market square found out when it hit him in the chest.

    My gliders always work.
