Interesting and flows. The science bits may be typical fodder nowadays but they're good and fit. Characters seem solid. All we need is a full story. The physical descriptions surprisingly don't detract--you told them well. The second bit with Cord could be a bit less tell, but otherwise...Lock 'n Load! I have to say that there is no doubt that your work is publish quality, just a matter of completing enough pieces and sending them out enough times to plant them in front of the right person. Or going the self-publish route full steam and making your impression that way. However with self-publishing, I would wonder if you have enough time in your day to do further marketing. Nice. Been a while, but I liked it. I didn't know anything really of the Flash mythos so I wasn't bothered by the details. His metabolism bit was a good laugh. Re: Her killers; the story really isn't about who killed her as much as why and how does that affect Cord and who/what he becomes as a result of that. So far the best is Tokyo Joes - IF I can find a place to park.
