A few updates.
I’ve been talking a lot lately about the stuff going on around here, especially with my mom. Not a lot has changed. I’m concentrating on one step at a time with her. She is very resistant to any more doctors, which makes it difficult. So I’m pushing her on physical therapy for her shoulder, which continues to cause her discomfort and pain. Her PT got interrupted previously by the gallbladder surgery. Getting that and her back on track feels like the right thing to do, so we’re going it. We’ve had 3 sessions so far, and pushed 3 more back to back on the calendar. Her physical therapist is also getting more aggressive with her, which is good. The last session is this Tuesday, at which point we’ll reassess and see where we’re at and what needs to be done.
Pikes Peak Writers
I am now a member of the Board of Directors for Pikes Peak Writers, a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization committed to helping writers grow and thrive through education, outreach, and community. To learn more about PPW, visit the website.
We’re still lining up what, exactly, I’ll be doing for the organization beyond the podcasts I normally record to help promote the yearly conference. For sure, I’ll be much more involved with the planning of the 2017 Conference, which also happens to be the 25th anniversary, so – party? As I know more, you’ll know more.
I’ve released a new eBook – CAHILL’S UNFINISHED BUSINESS. This is the second Cord Cahill story and I’m glad to have it out there where people can read it. I’m also planning on releasing the third story later this year, so watch for that. Probably around the summer. I might release something else between now and then – not sure yet. Would be a different story/world.
I’ll be teaching a Scrivener Workshop in March down in Pueblo. It’ll be a paid event and I’m working on getting something setup for people to be able to RSVP.I’ll do a post about it when that’s all set to go.
