So. As you may know – if you follow me on social media – I have a new job! If you don’t follow me on social media – wtf? Seriously? Why not? I mean – what did I ever do to you that would make you not follow me on social media? I’ve got a Twitter account and a Facebook and the Pinterest – that’s mostly comic book stuff. The links go on and on so all you have to do it click the icons in the sidebar of this very site and go follow me.
I’ll wait while you get that done.
*Taps foot impatiently*
Seriously people. Was that so hard?
Now – about the new job.
No, I wasn’t looking. This job found me. Yes, it’s a great opportunity. I am a Digital Marketing Specialist for GolfTEC. What do I do? Mostly the same stuff I’ve always done only focusing exclusively on the digital side of marketing. What does that mean? I don’t have to do brochures and fliers and all the print stuff I’ve done in the past. My responsibilities are email marketing, content marketing and the like. Social media is someone else’s responsibility but I get to chime in. Also, that guy and I will be doing SEO stuff together.
What does GolfTEC do? Teach people to play better golf.
I played golf when I lived in California. Not so much recently. Part of my job includes taking lessons, though – which is interesting. From a Functional Nerd’s perspective, I like the technological approach to everything. If you’re interested in what they (we, I guess now…) do, check out the website here.
So – new job. Busy job, hence the darkness here on the blog. But, as I always say, I hope to change that moving forward and do more blogging.
Also hoping to do more podcasting. I know I’ve been dark there too. Functional Nerds keeps chugging along thanks mostly to the fact John Anealio does the scheduling there so I just have to show up, record and edit. SF Signal has more for me to do and I haven’t had the bandwidth lately to get that done. But I’m working on some ideas and hope to get them recorded here very, very soon.
Anyway – that’s the state of me and the new job.
What’s up with you?
