I’ve been away. You may have noticed. Or not.
Either way, I’m back. For the entire month of April.
What’s that, you ask? Well, I’ve decided to do an experiment. I am going to blog every day in April. I can guarantee you they won’t all be deep, meaningful posts, but the point is to get back into blogging regularly again.
Why have I been away?
I haven’t been doing much online recently. That includes this blog, and my social media. I pop in from time to time, but that’s about it. I admit I have drastically scaled back my online presence in recent months. What have I been doing? Well, pretty much spending my time away.
Digging deeper, part of it comes from all of the crap being spewed by people on social media these days. To be frank, it’s exhausting. I feel like we’re in a new and different kind of election season, one that doesn’t end when the election is over. You can’t escape all the people arguing and shouting and saying, “If you don’t agree with ME, you’re part of the problem.” Actually, you can escape it the same way I have – by stepping away.
So I took a break.
Stopped to smell the roses.
And yes, I’ve been writing, and I hope to share that with you here on the blog.
Also, I’m preparing for the Pikes Peak Writers Conference at the end of the month. I’m doing a lot of interviewy type stuff there, and I’ve been tapped to teach a Scrivener class, which should be a lot of fun.
So, anyway. Here I am. Up on the stage.
April should be a fun month.
