Hi there – in this, the year where I am going to conventions and conferences, the last one on the schedule (so far) is Mile Hi Con 44, Denver’s “Largest Science-Fiction Fantasy Literary Convention” taking place October 19th – 21st (holy CRAP that’s coming up fast…). This year’s con will be taking place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel – Tech Center, which is this neat area 10-15ish mins from Downtown Denver along I25. Lots of great places to eat there (I used to work in the Tech Center), though some can be quite pricey.
Funny aside – I had a membership for last year’s con and wasn’t able to go because my brother came a visitin’ unexpectedly. Sigh. Anyway, all systems are a go for this year’s con, and since it’s in my own town and really not that far from where I live, not only can I go and have fun, I can sleep in my own bed every night!
I will be on several panels this year, which is wonderful (and terrifying). My schedule so far is as follows:
- Friday, October 19th at 3 PM: Social Media for Authors (Moderator): (Room) Grand Mesa A
- Saturday, October 20th, 11 am: Introduction to Podcasting: (Room) Mesa Verde A
- Saturday, October 20th, 4 PM: LivePodcast Recording (Host/Moderator)
- Sunday, October 21st, 12 PM: Falling Skies, Terra Nova & Primeval (Moderator): (Room) Mesa Verde A
Now, you may have noticed the name ‘C. Willis’ on two of my panels. I don’t actually know if that is Courtney or Connie. Either way, I’ll probably die.
MileHiCon 44 is roughly a week away and I hope to see -you- there…
EDIT: I have learned that it is, in fact, Connie Willis on those panels. The Connie Willis. Eep. ._.
