Got my mojo working again.

Changed my deadline date on the Epic Fantasy to October 30th and it spat out a daily goal of 640 words.  Barely hit that on the first day.  Next day, I did 909, then 1,289, then 768, and as of this writing, 2,294 on Sunday.  (After I’m done writing this post, I’m gonna try for another 500 words.)

Feels good to be pushing forward again.  More than I can articulate.

With everything else going on (unemployment), not writing was starting to drive me a little nuts.

The story itself is coming along very nicely.  I am well into the ‘third act’, I suppose, where everything is hitting the fan and the characters are being put through a lot.  This can be the best (or the worst) part to write. Also, given my penchant for editing as I go, I’ve got a really solid draft of this book.  It’s funny, I’m balancing four POV characters at this point and it’s gotten easier and easier the more I write.  In the beginning, I was very nearly pulling my hair out trying to do that.  This bodes well as the next project following this one, will be to return to the Space Opera that was giving me fits before (due to all the POV switches).

Also, thanks to my word counts this week, my epic ‘how many words have I written since 2000’ widget in the lower right corner of this site, now reads 708,357 words!

To get better at writing requires, writing. I think you’re learning this. 🙂
