I remember a blizzard hitting Chicago when I was a kid.  Specifically, I remember the snow nearly reached the windows of our apartment (we were in the middle / main floor of a brownstone.  So you had to go up one small flight of stairs), and that my neighbor, Vicky, and I, made snow forts and dug tunnels in the backyard.  But I haven’t seen any pics from that blizzard, except for this one:

I also remember getting yelled at for our snow tunnels because, “What if they caved in on your heads?!”

    Such a memory. Piles of snow meant nothing when we were young…
