Wow. It’s been a hundred days since I started the Writing Journal.  You can see the very first post by clicking this link.  In that time, I have made a lot of progress on the novel.

I broke 56k today, a huge milestone. Over the past couple of days, I’ve jumped 1k words ahead during one writing session only to chop 800 of those words out during the next session, so it’s been a real roller coaster ride.

The three-day weekend is coming up, and for me, these are traditionally a huge opportunity to lock myself away and push hard on writing.  My hope is that this weekend won’t be any different and I’ll be able to jump ahead and move the story along.

Why?  That’s easy.  I’ve set myself a new goal – this draft of Sam Kane will be done by the end of summer.

Totally doable if I keep the focus that I’ve had the past month or so.
