Who came up with the phrase, “A stitch in (my/your) side”?

I went for a hike in Red Rocks Park.
Holy crap.
Talk about being out of shape! It’ll get better…

New rule in my house – no tinsel, garland or sparklie Christmas-type decorations. Dakota is an eater of such things.
Eww. (eventually, these things reappear…)

Why do things taste better at higher elevations? I mean – pizza, steaks, even burgers seem to taste better when I head into the mountains.

New site design likes posts to have pictures featured. I should create one for Random Thoughts…

Okay – graphic created.

I hate the taste of toothpaste. I have tried just about every kind / flavor offered and none taste particularly good to me. I also don’t understand why there are so many different kinds – some fight this, some reduce that, some do both but don’t do this – wtf? Does Microsoft own the toothpaste companies?

I’m wondering if I am alone in thinking Glee isn’t as good this year as last year? I mean, I have enjoyed the show a bit as they tackle story lines with less fluff, but the music isn’t there for me this year. Last year they did a lot of classic rock, this year more pop/modern stuff, which just doesn’t do it for me. They even made fun of this in the episode where the teacher gets sick. he says, “I think I found a Journey song we haven’t done!” which makes the kids groan.
Come on! Bring back the good music!!

Sometimes I think candles are like hot dog buns. The classic line is to ask why there are 8 hot dog buns but 10 hot dogs to a package?
You get a candle, you light it, maybe it smells nice. Over the course of however long you keep that candle around burning it, it slowly melts away. One day you realize that the wick is gone but there’s still all this wax…

Nearly time for the Doctor Who Christmas special. While I look forward to it, I have to admit – not as much as years past. Still am not sold on Smith as the Doctor.

Yes! I always wondered about the food tasting better at high elevations too. My theory is: The air is thinner, so we breathe more and since most of us breathe through our nose and taste is largely smell-related… There you go!
‘Course I could just be horribly wrong.
I find things tend to taste better outside than inside. Maybe it’s related!
So, you like to eat the pie crust but not the filling? >_>
