This is World Fantasy week on the blog so let’s take a look at the goodie bag.
I was shocked and thrilled by the volume of books given to each attendee of the World Fantasy Convention. I took a pic and put it up on Twitter almost immediately and I used that pic for this week’s Photo Tuesday post, but I wanted to give a little more detail and credit to all the authors and titles.
Here goes:
- Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
- Winter Witch (Pathfinder Tales) by Elaine Cunningham
- The Sword Edged Blonde by Alex Bledsoe
- The Secret History of Moscow by Ekaterina Sedia
- Night of Knives (A Novel of the Malazan Empire) by Ian C. Esslemont
- Hell Can Wait by Theodore Judson
- The Exiled Queen (A Seven Realms Novel) by Cinda Williams Chima
- Water Logic (An Elemental Logic Novel) by Laurie J. Marks
- Fantasy & Science Fiction Magazine May/June issue
- Sense And Sensibility And Sea Monsters by Jane Austin & Ben H. Winters
- The Fabulist; Fables, Yarns & Diverse Tales
- Soldier of Sidon by Gene Wolfe
- Propspero Lost by L. Jagi Lamplighter
- Children No More by Mark L. Can Name
- Neuropath by R. Scott Bakker
Whew! What a haul!

you were given these?
argh.
Yep!
Now that’s the kind of ‘trick or treat’ haul I can appreciate!
As the Publisher Liaison responsible for getting the books donated to the convention, I’m VERY pleased that you were pleased with them! It’s a great benefit for the attending authors to see their books there, the attendees like them, and the increase in interest in the authors and books is a win-win for everyone! Stay tuned for even more in 2011 in San Diego!
I was absolutely thrilled by all of these books. I have no idea how I’ll find the time to read them all, but I plan to try and get as many of them as I can on the podcasts 🙂
