This past weekend, I flew to Columbus, Ohio to attend the World Fantasy Convention. I knew from past conventions that I’ve attended, that you usually get a bag of goodies. It never occurred to me that this convention would give me a bag full of books.

Holy cow.
Don’t get me wrong, I was thrilled to receive such a treasure trove of books, but at the same time I was thinking to myself, “How am I going to get these home…”
With the airlines charging for checked bags and the ‘2 bag carry on’ rule, I did a little math in my head and wondered if I could shove all of these in my roller bag or if I was gonna be stuck with three bags instead of two (roller bag and backpack/laptop case).
In the end, I created a sort of book wall along the back and sides of my roller bag, squeezing my clothes in the middle. This worked well and, now that I write this post, I realize I should’ve taken a photo of that…
